Helping people discover the serenity within life’s chaos through art
Chinatown, Vancouver, BC, Canada
Stepping back in time on the corner of Carrall and Pender, where the historic West Hotel and the architecturally unique Jack Chow Insurance building stand as sentinels of stories past. This spot is a slice of Vancouver's rich tapestry.
Lions Gate Bridge, Vancouver, BC, Canada
I continue to venture beyond my comfort zone of urban environments, by integrating foliage—trees and leaves that are not my usual subjects—into the composition. To my delight, these elements turned out well, adding a refreshing dimension to the artwork. ⁣

This piece posed a delightful challenge with its intricate structure and the stark contrasts it presents, including the organic forms of nature against human engineering. ⁣

Drawing this bridge was not only a journey through the rich narratives it embodies—progress, architectural ambition, and the breathtaking beauty of British Columbia—but also an exploration in color. The colors I chose don't reflect the actual colors of the scene, yet they spoke to me, guiding the emotional and aesthetic tone of the piece.⁣

Steveston Harbour, Richmond, BC, Canada
Here's where my brush met the bustling energy and quiet stories of Steveston Harbour. Every boat whispers a tale of tides and time, and in detailing the 'Serenity', I wondered about the shores it has kissed and the storms it's weathered. This piece was a voyage in itself, complete with a foray into the art of lettering, which to my delight, anchored well into the composition. It’s a tribute to the spirit of Steveston — a place that always manages to rejuvenate the soul.⁣
